As part of DATTA Qld’s dedication to the development of Design and Technology education in Queensland schools, we proudly present:
Design & Technologies Student Subject Awards 2023
The Design And Technology Teachers’ Association of Queensland Subject Award program has been established to recognise excellence and outstanding achievements in Design and Technologies subjects across Queensland.
The awards serve to provide public recognition for Queensland Design & Technology students with candidates being nominated by their teacher. It is also an opportunity to recognise the hard work and outstanding teaching of our members.
Each year, the top three awardees in each category from the seven educational regions of Queensland, will proceed and compete to be acknowledged as the overall State winner in each category. Winners will be announced in Term 4, Week 1.
IMPORTANT
To enter the competition, teachers must select student work that demonstrates outstanding achievement in one of the Design & Technologies curricular areas detailed on the attached nomination form. In the interest of fairness to all entrants, submissions will only be accepted if they meet the submission requirements (1 x A3 page ONLY in pdf, jpeg or png format). All other submissions will be disqualified.
Carefully consider the amount of information on a page. Too much information will not scale well and will be difficult to read and therefore difficult to vote on. A single image with minimal annotations is best, e.g. final manufactured product, digital or physical prototype or concept sketch with minimal annotations. It is not necessary to document the entire design process or engineering problem solving process. It is the nominating teacher’s responsibility to ensure that submissions meet the submission requirements. Thank you.
