Welcome to Design And Technology Teachers' Association of Queensland Inc.

Welcome to the home of the Design And Technology Teachers’ Association of Queensland Inc.  We exist to support our members – Design and Tech teachers in Queensland, Australia, and are affiliated with our counterparts in other Australian states and territories, and our national organisation, DATTA Australia.

Membership of DATTA Qld brings the benefits of collegiality, news, events, resources and articles of interest via this website and our quarterly journal, delivered in hardcopy to members preferred address (school, home, PO Box).  DATTA Qld also offers a range of professional development opportunities for Queensland teachers of Design and Technology.

DATTA Qld has regional branches that typically meet once per term for an industry visit or social occasion, and is managed by a state executive that meets in Brisbane monthly.  DATTA Qld hosts a state conference annually, sponsors pre-service teachers awards and celebrates excellence in Queensland Design and Technology teachers through our prestigious DATTA Qld Teacher Excellence Awards.
