The DATTA National & State Conference organising committee and DATTA Qld have been monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 virus across Australia and the globe.
After much consideration and discussion with input from our event management team, the conference planning committee and DATTA Qld regret to announce that the DATTA National & State Conference 2020 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre has been postponed until 2021. The new dates are Friday 4 & Saturday 5 June 2021.
This difficult decision was made in an atmosphere of great uncertainty. While by the end of June there may be greater certainty and the spread of COVID-19 may have been contained, we had to act now. The postponement aims to minimise financial loss for delegates and DATTA Qld, to provide clarity for all concerned and of course considers the health and well-being of our colleagues.
Please note this means that the call for presentation submissions has also now been postponed. If you had already submitted a presentation for review, the committee have confirmed they’re happy to keep the submission until next year, however you are also able to resubmit next year should you want too. If you would like your current submission removed from the system please contact the conference secretariat.
If you have any queries regarding the postponement of DATTA 2020, please do not hesitate to contact the conference secretariat via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +61 7 3848 2100.
