DATTA Qld Student Subject Awards 2025

We are proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Design and Technology Teachers’ Association Queensland Student Subject Awards. This year saw an exceptional number of submissions from across the state, each showcasing the creativity, innovation, and technical skill of Queensland’s Design and Technologies students. The calibre of work was outstanding, reflecting the dedication of both students and their teachers who continue to champion authentic, hands-on learning. These awards are more than a celebration, they are a showcase of the diverse and dynamic projects emerging from classrooms statewide.

Design and Technologies education plays a vital role in shaping Australia’s future workforce and economy. From engineering and architecture to robotics, manufacturing, product design, and digital innovation, the skills developed in these subjects are foundational to countless career pathways. More than that, Design and Technologies fosters the 21st century capabilities our students need most: creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving. In a world driven by innovation, sustainability, and technological change, studying Design and Technologies is not just relevant, it’s essential.

Congratulations to all the students whose work has been recognised in this year’s awards. Your creativity, perseverance, and passion for design and innovation are truly inspiring. You’ve not only demonstrated excellence in your craft, you’ve shown us the future of Australian ingenuity. Well done!

We invite you to cast your votes for the DATTA QLD Student Subject Awards 2025. Please select your preferred State Champion in each category carefully – only one vote per person is allowed.

Each year, the top three awardees in each category from the seven educational regions of Queensland, will proceed and compete to be acknowledged as the overall State winner in each category.
